Rotational Symmetry.... on PhotoPeach Its been an interesting last few weeks learning about tesselations. The children were learning to create a simple tesselation which you can come in and see displayed on our classroom maths wall. They also made butterflies to show symmetry (reflection). It was a challenge folding and cutting our the shapes we each needed to create a paper butterfly. We also used our pencil drawing skills to show the refection of objects or people's cut out magazine faces. Overall the experience was enjoyed by all...especially when children made comments like "I like maths this is fun!". Kia kaha tonu Space 8 for the rest of your school term, we have 3 weeks to go!!!
